What Happened?...

What happened to the days where a man or woman could go to work, do his or her job, and not have to worry about the irrelevant extrinsic factors? It seems like now-a-days a person's performance at work is judged by how much ass you can kiss without leaving the fecal matter stuck in your teeth. When did work relationships become about anything but WORK? I didn't get the memo that said "Open Wide And Suck It", excuse my language, became apart of the criteria when being considered for a promotion. When did a person's personal bias become an integral part of the decision-making process when considering how many days this or that person will work?

Can someone please explain this to me because, although i may be young, i was always taught to leave the bullshit at the door.

It seems like people have forgot to wipe their feet...Real Talk.

Just A Thought...

I have a problem with judging people before i take the time out to talk to them and i dislike myself for that. There are so many good people in this world and i deny myself the privilege and joy in taking part of that because i choose to judge. I dont think that i'm the only person with this problem, but to see a change you have to start with yourself. I just want to take the time out to apologize to everyone that i've judge, including the people i consider my friends and family. I'm randomly putting this out there not because some therapist told me to do it, but because i actually want to enjoy people for who they are. I loathe the fact that too many people, including myself, deny a person access to one's self based on extrinsic factors.

Quote of the Day...Dec. 1

“In today's climate in our country, which is sickened with the pollution of pollution, threatened with the prominence of AIDS, riddled with burgeoning racism, rife with growing huddles of the homeless, we need art and we need art in all forms. We need all methods of art to be present, everywhere present, and all the time present.” - Maya Angelou

Golden Rd...

I walk this road not by choice, but through embracement
Filled with cracks, pot-holes, and evil temptations
Chris Christie and I made a promise that i hope we both plan to keep.
His with the state, and mine with this street
The debris I will not sweep
Instead, it sits there as an image i plan to keep
(pause)
The remainder is some sort of a project
Since my craft is one of turning shit into gold
The street will be named Glory, scratch that, Golden Rd
I walk this road not by choice, but through embracement
I wrap my arms around my realities, but also my dreams
When i reach the end the road started and the road finished are one in the same
I smile because it started as a road of shit
But ended
Not as a boulevard of shame.

Intro Please...

Welcome, welcome, welcome to my blog. No one is reading this shit right now, but for those of you who do end up checking this out let me include you on my plans. With this blog i plan on letting the posts speak for themselves. I'll blog about whatever comes to me. My posts may be about music, life, sports, fashion (not so much), and/or poetry (yeah, poetry). These entries are just my thought and i'm putting them out there for you all to embrace with different types of critizism. I'll stop going into the specific's before i go back on what i said in the 3rd sentence. Peace, Love, and Enjoy.
